Programs

The various programs offered by OVER 21 are designed to assist our students as they master different skills. Our programs can be tailored to provide each client with experiences that will help him or her master personally important skills.

Self Care Program - teaches students how to perform self care needs, such as toothbrushing, hand washing, grooming and selecting appropriate attire to wear.

Wallet Program - students are taught how to make purchases which vary from personal items to weekly grocery shopping; students also learn to manage and count money.

Transportation Program - students experience public transportation (such as BART and/or AC Transit) by traveling to destinations in the community.

Community Awareness - teaches students about community safety issues, such as street crossing and safety sign awareness.

Laundry Program - students learn how to sort, wash, fold and put away laundry.

Vocational Training Program - held at community sites.

Shopping/Food Preparation Program - students participate in purchasing program supplies for the classroom, supplemental lunches and supplies for in-house cooking projects.
